Visit Portland Bill and marvel at the views across Portland and Weymouth. Drive the coast road to West Bay and look up at the golden cliffs as seen in ‘Broadchurch’. Take a bus to Dorchester and treat yourself to a cream tea in one of the many ‘old fashioned’ tea-shops. Bowleaze Cove and Chesil Beach are both a good walk but stop for lunch at one of the many cafes along the way. Take the passenger boat over to Nothe Fort and feed the squirrels in the park. Stop at the Nothe Tavern for a much needed cup of tea. Walk back through Brewers Quay. On a rainy day there is still much to do with the Sea Life Centre being top of your list. Although the Military Museum and Monkey World are a bit further afield they are both fantastic places to visit. Abbotsbury, a pretty Dorset village, is also a great place to visit with it’s Swannery, Children’s farm and Sub-Tropical Gardens. There is so much to see and do you will certainly need to return to fit it all in! Of course don’t forget famous Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

Weymouth boasts many eateries, with something to suit everyone. Pizzas, Steaks, Tapas, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Sunday Roasts and of course the obligatory Fish and Chips sitting on the harbour wall.

There are so many boats going out of the harbour throughout the Summer from chartered fishing boats to speedboats or just buy a crab net and sit on the harbour.
